Simple Controls?

Sorry if this has been answered but can you switch to a pitching and hitting system that doesn't use the R-stick? I know r-stick pitching and the swing stick are features this game highlights but can you change this? How many of the on field displays can you turn off as well (player names, ball trails, throw meters, etc)?

There is button hitting. But I haven't heard about pitching options. I'm hoping they brought back classic pitching ala the Show. They took that out a couple of years ago, and I think the only other option last year was Kzone.

You can use the old school pitching from 2K7 as well.

Ball Trail & Player Names can be turned off. As for the Throwing Meter, that cannot be turned off

I can't remember exactly what it's called off the top of my head, but if you've played 2K7 then you know what I mean. I'm talking about the default pitching option in 2K7 (only uses buttons). It was also an option in 2K8. I read somewhere it will be in this year as an option too.

I'll give the Right stick controls a try, but I'll probably go back to classic for both. Glad they put that option in there.

He's talking about Precision Pitching Controls. This is a button pitching option, but also uses an expanding circle.

I really wonder why they removed the Zone Pitching Option.

IMO it's was a great option when Pitching & made it helluva hard to hit your spots, especially if the Throw Meter Slider was set high.. I still have 2k7 & use that option for pitching & love it

Right, I thought is was breakpoint though? Or is that one of the options when you choose with that pitching: breakpoint versus pinpoint?

Yeah, kzone was ridiculously tough when the sliders were cranked, which is a good thing. It was a nice option.

That's correct... If you look @ the screen I posted it say's Press A to toggle option & the screen states "Break point". So I'm thinking you can switch from "Break Point" to "Pin Point"

I'm going to have to give that a try. I've been playing 2K7 a lot lately, but have yet to try Zone.

Be prepared for a great pitching experience. I believe there's 2 Zone Options. I can't remember off hand which-1 I use.
