    pitch stick in 2k9?

have they made it any easier to use. i found it hard to throw anything besides a breaking ball. it didnt seem realistic relying on a curveball in a 3-0 count. and can you use the kzone or something else during online play

1.) Yes, they made it easier.

2.) You'll probably be able to use button pitching in custom lobbies. I don't think they've said for sure what options will and will not be available online.

thanks i apreciate it. it was frustrating not being able to rely on a fastball other than in an 0-2 count hoping the cpu would chase

i mastered the pitching controls after like 10 minutes. i hate people like you who are causing 2k to dumb down the game for 2k9.

          lol...angry...wow.

At least they have the option to go back to 2K8 functionality (for pitching, at least). Nothing wrong with making the game accessable, as long as they've got options to enhance it for the more "hardcore" control guys.

i hear what your saying because i deal with dumbing down on a daily basis, its annoying. At the same time one could say they hate people like you who post without knowledge.......

you see while 2k9 will dumb it down to a 2 step process, they have also included the option to use the 3 step process like last year had

I have to agree..2K made a smart move by makeing the controls more user friendly, this allows new comers to the series to pick up a controler and enjoy while giving the option to people who prefers the 3 step method (i prefer this). Once again its all about marketing and selling more games!

I'm glad to see that the only types of pitches I had hard time throwing(cutter, 2-seamer) which we need to pull back, then push up to either left/up or right/up postion, is fixed. I was throwing meatball after meatballs trying to throw them.

This year, they changed those pitches to push up, then rotate to either right or left arc.

it took me a while to master the control schemes in 2k8. i had to practice for like 2hrs. i got them down pack and now i love the game. here is my reason why; its so realistic(get it)

You were probably moving the stick up half way, then moving it left or right before you reached the top.Your suppose to move the stick up to the left or right from the get go.You'll throw these two pitches every time at 90+% if you do that.

You can also do Precision Pitching from 2K7, which *I* prefer to use.
