Improvements to Framerate to Correct Choppiness

Hello everyone. I just checked out the videos of MLB 2K9 and the game still appears to have a less than desirable framerate and high degree of choppiness. Does anyone know if 2K Sports is actively working on correcting this or is that all we are going to get this year. I must admit....as a big fan of console baseball games....I've been very disappointed with the MLB 2K series on XBox 360. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I wouldn't worry too much about the choppiness in the videos. Some run virtually hitch free. It's generally considered to be a video capture issue. Steve and the rest of those posting some videos seem to think the framerate is pretty solid overall and that's on an earlier copy.

That's not to say things can't possibly go south, but VC has claimed to have made framerate optimization a priority, so it's about as confirmed as it can be in that regard
(without playing it for ourselves, of course).

The lingering question seems to be more regarding the PS3 issue. Simballer (a VC developer) said he found the PS3 to run silky smooth when in play, so that's a positive.

We'll see, but it appears as though this is less of a concern this time around.

Like I've said in plenty of threads. The way the videos are encoded, they will be choppy. As soon as we get the new video server, things will be butter.

- I came here to say this very thing...the guy who OWNS the site has said it's the videos and not the game on numerous occasions....

My game informer just came in the mail, and they talked about how smooth the framerates are...

The G4 video was probably the smoothest I have seen of any video to date and I am less concerned this time around.

Time will tell. Looking good so far for the 60 fps.
