    Stealing

Since nobody is answering me about the stealing issue in the demo forum...

I was under the impression that to steal you hold down the left trigger until it vibrates. However when i attempt to do this, the pitcher seems to know i am stealing and step off the mound, which results in a pickle play.

    what am i doing wrong?

      Re: Stealing

Did you hold it after taking a 3 step lead?

You don't want to be way out there like that.Take 2 steps, then on the third one hold the left trigger down and release when the time is right.

Actually I did steal with less of a lead (and the pitcher didn't look me back) -- used the Y button and another one (can't think of it off the top of my head atm)..

It's an overcomplicated mess. In trying to simplify it, they made it worse.

This should be how to steal:

Tell the runner to steal when he thinks the pitcher is coming home with the ball.

Period. Whether it's using the D-pad to point to a base, or holding a trigger and a button for the base, etc.
