I just played the demo, and the graphics look amazing in 1080i. I didn't have any problems whatsoever graphics-wise, and seems framerate is fixed to about 60fpm, which is nice to see after 2k8. I also liked the announcing, and the live crowd. I also did have some problems with players running out of the batepath, and I also got the glitch of the guy bobbling the ball around at the wall which are pretty much minor.

PS) how do you change the pitcher in the PS3 demo?

Crap. I knew this would happen.

I freaking love the demo. I'm not about to go into a four paragraph essay on why I love it because that's not my style, but this game is a HUGE improvement from last year's PS3 version.

I can't put my finger on it, but this game is just pure fun. It doesn't look or feel as polished as the "other" game, but it's fun factor for me is off the charts.

Son of a bitch!!!! I'm pissed now. I don't want 2 baseball games!

I'm impressed by the reception of the PS3 demo . I should've bought a PS3 instead of a PSP, but.. the PC demo should be similar - better if the PC has some quality hardware

I really don't get the complaints on this game. I must be blinded or something. I hear different bat sounds, seeing balls being sprayed all over the place, feeling like I earned a strike out with the pitch stick, 60fps on the PS3, loving the lighting.......did 2K buy some of that EA hypno juice or something???

Oh, that's just ****ing great......I look over and there's my new copy of ESPN the mag with Lincecum on the cover......................CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!

Playing the demo on a 46" Sony Bravia LCD.

+ no frame rate issues at all
+ Thorne doesn't skip a beat. He's got the type of voice that doesn't grate on you and he's really good. Phillips chimes in nicely, too.
+ I sucked at pitching as I've never used the stick before, but I can see where it would be fun
+ I sucked at hitting with the stick, so I don't know if it would be fun or not, but I understand the game also has classic hitting??? I'd probably play on classic hitting.
+ there are some really good and new/different animations in the game
+ Liked the presentation cameras
+ saw good hit variety

- animations can be extremely stiff and take away from the presentation. For example, Hamels marching around the mound. With the good, there are also some really bad animations and combinations of both, i.e. players looks good, then stiff, etc. all on same play.
- Fielders DO sort of have a mind of their own until you get them under control
- Do not like the black screen between innings
- was called safe at first on two different plays. Had no replay, but pretty sure runners were both out, not even close
- saw the run down bug where fielders just stand with the ball

Overall the game looks like it could be a fun game to play. As I'm not a swing stick/pitch stick player I can't really comment on that part of the game. The game does need a bit more polishing. It sort of looks like this should have been the 08 installment (progression) with some of the animations cleaned up for the 09 installment.

Ok here is what i have to say for what it's worth(don't know how many people care)

Graphics are just not up to par, i don't care what anybody says but these graphics are garbage

Hitting and pitching are way dumbed down, i did expect it though because i read the 360 impressions and i know 2k has laxed to get with the casual gamer

I am looking forward to the options i can explore with as in pitching and hitting, because these pick up and play contols suck really bad for us sim players that have been playing this game for a while

I am very, very, very impressed with the frame rate over last year, wow i feel like somebody loves me this year

Now if this game plays online as smooth as offline, thren to me, we have a winner, i play 2k games for online leagues as they are by far better then anything out there

So as for what i think, this game is OK for the offline gamer, now the online gamer will really enjoy this because(I do like the show but it has lagged online really bad)if everything is up to par as 2k says this game has it hands down for more enjoyment(fun factor)

One last thing this demo is like 100x better then last years final build, kinda sad when you thing about it

downloaded the demo and just played a game. Looks pretty good, kinda different than the 360 demo(I have a ps3 and 360)...can't really describe it. Seems like theres added commentary as well. The computer actually threw a lot of balls to me, which was refreshing. A lot of 3-2 counts which was nice. Overall seems like a newer demo than the 360 one due to the commentary and some different animations I believe, but looks kinda better on my 360. What do you all think?

the ps3 version looks more jaggy, no matter what ps3 or tv settings I used. But we were all expecting that as the game is a port...

I know how this feels. This game is enjoyable. I've approached this with no expectations, and an open mind, and I'm so happy with what I've got. I definitely see this as my two player game with friends, yet I also see the potential for this to become a truly great game in the coming years that'll keep me hooked on single player.

Thank you VC for finally allowing this PS3 owner to experience a little of the other side of baseball gaming.

I can see where some sliders will be needed, but the right settings and this will be a pure gem to play.

Presentation when you let it play CPU vs CPU is mind blowing.
