How does the hit stick work?

Never used it before. Do I pull down and then press up, left or right depending on the pitch location? Or just press up everytime. Also, Can you press back and hold it until the pitch comes or does it need to be in on fluid down and up flick ?

What about a power swing? Is there one?

It's a simple down and up motion, and you use the L Stick to influence. You can do it in one motion and time it to the pitch (feels better and more realistic this way, IMO) or you can immediately hold it back and just sit on the pitch and then time the upward motion. It's up to you.

If you hold the right down, the batter gets set in the box.
