Ahh, I'm dissapointed that they left out some sliders from past installments. For example, the injury slider was huge because we never witnessed an injury without jacking up the slider. Like some people mentioned, they had to purposely get injured to make the game more interesting and realistic. I will reserve further judgement until I actually play the game.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

1 - Not that I can find.TJdaSportsGuy,
I am a fan of player editting so here are my questions (This would be in the roster section. Not the create-a-player but the MLB players):
1. Can u change the size of the player's jersey ala 2K8 and 2K7 which the options were Tight / Normal / Loose ?
2. Also can u change the size of the pants and pants length ala 2K8 and 2K7? I am really interested in "Baggy" / "Super Baggy" and the "Extra Long" options for the pants the most.
The options in 2K7 and 2K8 were: Tight/ Normal / Baggy / Super Baggy
The options for pant length were: Tucked / Normal / Long / Extra Long.
3. Lastly, there was an option for the "undershirt sleeves hot/cold" that I noticed in Steve_OS's screenshots. The option that I am looking for that was in 2K7 and 2K8 is "3/4's Above The Elbow." It basically is the sleeves that are cut at the elbow and not the 3/4 sleeves.
Thanks so very much. Later

2 - Yep...the options are Baggy, High, Low, High Stirrup, and Low Stirrup.
3 - The sleeve length options are Normal, 3/4th, None, and Short. Short is cut off just above the elbow but not at it.Comment

Re: Why Do I Do This To Myself: I Have a Copy of MLB 2K9 (Q&A)
I'm happy to see a slider for hit location influence (left stick). I fooled around with the demo a bit last night and found it insanely easy to hit where I wanted to with the left stick. I didn't hit any ground balls unless I had the stick pointed down, and vice versa for fly balls. I'm sure some of that had to do with the demo being set on pro difficulty, but none the less, it is nice to have another level of control over it.Comment

Yea, I am kind of bummed myself at the fact that they left this out. But I'm sure editing each player will remedy the situation (or so I hope).Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

I'm probably not anal enough to know whether they got every last detail right. Why don't you post a picture of what they're supposed to look like and I'll tell you if they got it right or not.Comment

+1 on this. I will have that set to "0" day one. I want to time my hits and earn that ball hit to the right side to move a runner. Not make it based on a joystick.I'm happy to see a slider for hit location influence (left stick). Of course, I may just not even touch the L-Stick, and it won't matter.

How are the cutscenes like batters walking up to the plate and coming back to the dugout, that is were i notice alot of akward animations like jogging then stopping moving weird etc..... is it smoother then the demo....i dont know if you played the demo.Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal - PicassoComment

Re: Why Do I Do This To Myself: I Have a Copy of MLB 2K9 (Q&A)
My intial thought is that if you throw a perfectly executed pitch, it gets a bonus and becomes harder for the hitter to hit. I beleive for the demo, people are saying that the computer is swinging and missing more when the pitch is executed perfectly. This slider would then impact that and make the result of the swing either more or less dependent on the execution of the pitch.Hey Trev....
What do you figure "AI Batting Pitch Influence" means?
Does this mean that with this selection turned down, you can sneak a fastball by the AI hitter as opposed to him swinging at everything, or does this mean that if his IE says he swings at 80% fastballs, we can tone down his propensity for swinging at balls he recognizes as hittable?
thoughts?

Without knowing how drastic this would be, I would think it should be at zero. The pitch it self (speed, location and break) in my opinion, should be all that matter. No bonuses should be needed. A perfect pitch is perfect becuase of those three things, not a fourth imaginary thing.Comment

Yep...if I was a Phillies fan, I'd be having Joe Carter nightmares looking at these.
Looks smooth to me.Comment
