but i really dig the demo. Of course, I'm not a video game snob. I expect a game to look good (check) and be playable (check) and have replay value (can't check that yet, but I imagine it will have replay value).
The problem with gamers today is that they think they know how a sport should be simmed accurately. The fact is, all sports are too unpredictable nowadays, how can you expect a game to perfectly mimic unpredictability? If you expect this, you should be a mental patient.
Like with everyone complaining that the batters won't take strikes, they swing at every thing. How can you even begin to evaluate this? Simple critical thinking skills would force one with those skills to say, "oh, maybe that player is just a free swinger, i'd like to see this players free swinging in the game vs., say, Albert Pujols and compare the percentage that both of them free swing".
I will reserve judgement for my own testing, when i pitch 100 times to Pujols, and 100 times to Adam Dunn, and see how their percentages differ on swinging at strikes/balls.
That's all, maybe just a little more ability to use statistical analysis out of people would be better than just pointing at a short demo video and concluding all manner of over-arching themes.
