It'd be cool to read impressions about the PC version, but I guess you guys don't get those copies early ?

Re: ***Official MLB 2K9 Retail Version Impressions***

Last year's game was an embarrasment in regards to the relationships and correlations between an actual fielder's ratings such as Range, Glove, Fielding, etc and their respective results on the field and animations that were triggered.

After playing this year's game, can you tell me if you notice more subtle relationships between a fielder's range, glove, all around abilities and how they perform and the animations that get triggered in the field?

I hoping there is more of a tie in between these variables and the results that unfold in their respective positions

Can you confirm if that is a pre-final build video, or the final build of the game video?

I remember earlier videos, before people like Chase, TJ, and KC started getting the games, having players running through each other but there were still framerate issues and the game wasn't optimized.

I want to know from someone who has the final copy if they are still seeing the same thing...

Are the Reds home Uniforms correct? By this, are the front numbers on the chest instead of diagonal from the wishbone C-Reds Logo?

There's some impressions at the 2K forum from one of the other mods who has the game.

                  Here's his summary:

"Overall Thoughts: The game is a lot of fun. Animations are very smooth and even better than the demo. There are a few quirks here and there but overall the game is great and I look forward to many games from this point forward. I earned a few cards while playing as well. This game was just played on Play Now option which means everything was set to default. The AI looked at a total of 17 called strikes across the game for those wondering."

I like the sound of that last part Sounds like an improvement over the demo, and that's just with the default settings.

                  He's taking questions as well:

That's better than none, for sure, but that's less than one per at-bat. I'm not saying I know what a proper ratio should be--there are definitely hackers on every team. Just pointing out the ratio.

If they can't get their helmets right I wouldn't get my hopes up on any throwback uniforms.

Yes, there are hackers, and even the patient guys hack once in awhile. After watching Spring Training games today, I'm reminded that not every player takes the first pitch. I saw more than few guys hack at the first pitch today.

that's not true. Every time I got caught in a pickle in the demo, they would eventually run after me. It took many many throws back and forth before they did run but they always did...

                              Actual Game Question:

This was brought up elsewhere, but can you pull up your own players detailed ratings during a game and if so how do you do it? Seems like a no brainer, but I don't see it in the demo and haven't heard from anyone who knows how.
