      3. I saw that 2K got Pepsi as a sponsor, do they have the Pepsi bottle at PNC Park?

I think I might be the only Bucco fan in this post...haha
1 - Haven't noticed this. Just scanned the Yankees and all their uniform numbers make sense a year into the franchise.

(Although they have Dice-K and Hideki Okajimi on the roster, which is a head scratcher - and neither were free agents).

2 - Got a link some where that shows what they are supposed to look like?

3 - Yup there's a Pepsi bottle above the right field bleachers.

Haven't noticed anything weird about the first baseman.

          Question

I have over heard that there is no exhibition mode

          just a Play Now mode

I have heard that when your playing in Play Now mode you will always play against there ace.

          Now my question is

Isn't there a roster section, not in franchise mode but a roster section where you can adjust Lineups and Rotations?

So if this is true how hard is it to change the pitcher to who you do want to face and save it then go to Play Now. Thats if you can do this?

Answer please... this will tell me if I buy this game

You can hit start during the pre-game screens and completely edit your lineup and starting pitcher before the game begins.

                - Is there a franchise news/headline tracker like 2K's MLB.COM where I can read things about my franchise and also the MLB on a day to day basis with pictures as well?

                - I've seen pics of a Tony Gwyn statue outside of Petco Park in San Diego, is there something like this shown for each team outside the stadium prior to a franchise game.?

                - How does the CPU handle the trading of star players?

                - How does the CPU handle free agent signings?

                - Is there a GM aspect of the franchise mode where I can change ticket prices, transportation, overall budget, and is there any owner goals that I have to meet?

                - Do players have personality traits that will effect either team chemistry or free agent signings?
                <!-- / message -->
                - The franchise screens are actually pretty nicely done. You have "MLB.com" with a ton of headlines for what went on around the league.

                - There's no outside the ballpark clips this year ala last year's pre-game show.

                - I had a ton of trades offered to me during the season. Haven't really looked at other teams rosters after season one though.

                - Free agent signing seems to be a lot better this year. Each player has ratings based on a few things and your team impacts his interest. i.e. a player might really want to play for a contender, hurting your chances to sign him.

                - Nope, no "baseball mogul" like features to the franchise mode. GM is mostly about building your team, spending money. Budget seems to be based on how well you did and your teams average attendance.

                - No team chemistry.

k bit more on free agency.

each player has "ambitions" in four different areas:

                    Financial Security
                    Team Prestige
                    Play for Winner
                    Playing Time

how your team matches to the players ambitions helps determine his interest in signing with your team.

the free agency period is 15 days long. you can put in offers on players, advance a day and see if there have been any other offers made, and make changes based on that. Seems to take two or three days with no activity for a player to sign a contract.

So with my question before then

Is there a roster section for editing lineup and rotations?

can't you adjust it to what you want, then save it

The go to play now and play the team of which you changed

                      Can you do this?

Or I think you can play two players, then set both line ups and rotation . Start the game and then remover the 2nd player by turning the controller off

I think you can do this too.

Really helps with situational hitting. i.e. Reyes gets on, steals second, then have Castillo try and hit a grounder to the right side of the infield to advance Reyes to third.
Dude, he was talking about cursor hitting. The thing you just described was directional hitting, not cursor hitting.
