Question to those that have the game BUT don't care about it being 100% polished....

If I am enjoying the demo even with it's short comings, will I enjoy the retail version even more? I don't care about alot of the stuff that most people are complaing about... editing batting stances, wind ups, tickets prices, agreesive AI batting etc.

I just like to play some games and have fun with it. Maybe play a few franchise games and a few online games. I actually enjoyed 2k8 to some degree after patch. Just curious if the casual gamer will enjoy this game or not IYO.

    Thanks,
    Blitz

that's funny coming from somebody who just joined this site and only has 3 posts, all of which are talking this game down. he is the enemy because he is a casual gamer who has a life outside of his house(i.e. family, job, friends) and he can't spend every waking minute getting balls deep into a game to find flaws he doesn't much care about anyway??? i understand where he comes from and i am somewhat in the same boat as he, though i do have some more time the most i just don't dive into the editing most do, which is why i depend on the gaming comunity to help me out and post up such improvements they made and i can either change mine or download their's and put it on my system so i enjoy it as much as they do. for you to say he is the enemy is well quite the overstatement

He is actually saying that becasue he is the one the games maker are going after. Not the hardcore sim people. And I say if you like the demo you will like this game too. So I say get it and enjoy it for what it is an arcade baseball game.

if people do not understand what they are getting with a 2k baseball game anymore, well then i say it's their own fault, i take 2k baseball for what it's worth, and while i can say it's not worth the pricetag overall if frame rate is smooth take your experience with this game online, and if you don't play online don't buy the game, i know people need a baseball fix and some may not have options but it is the world we live in(GREED) companies need to have a liscence so they can lock up a market, then they piss it away kinda sad, but that my friends is AMERICA!!!

It is a business that is what this is all about. I don't blame them one bit by trying to crush the opposition. I would do the same thing if I owned a business. I have nothing to do with greed. They don't make games for us they make games to make money. Now they do try to make the games so people will buy it. But you get the idea.

Your so right. It's just a business decision that most of us would make.

You will definitely like it more than the demo. The TV presentation is pretty well done, the custom music feature is pretty cool, and the arcade like gameplay is lots of fun. But until they tighten up the game a bit, The Show will be my main franchise game.

If they patch the AI hitting (I doubt sliders can correct it) then it will be a good, fun, realistic game. If they dont patch it save your money unless you dont have a problem playing a game where teh AI hacks at everything and you cant strike them out.

Like you, I can put up with all the other little annoyances, BUT the AI hitting must be fixed or I am selling mine off.

Hey blitz as much as of a die hard baseball fan i am, i agree i dont care about alot of the issues people complain about like the list you said. I dont mind the arcadey feel as long as i can find away to tone down hr's then i am pretty much all set obviously if there isnt a horrible glitch ruining the game like 1st baseman not putting there foot on the bag or something of that stature.
