Zone + Swing Stick + Pitch Speed 85 = VERY DIFFICULT.

Yeah. When the pitcher is about the release the ball, I pull back on the right stick and get the left stick ready. The bat cursor will then appear and you quickly move the cursor to the ball and rapidly push up on the right stick to swing. It takes some getting used to, but it's really challenging even when you have it down.

thanks for the reply, i had thought the bat cursor zone hitting thing was only for classic batting, nice to see that they have it both ways.

question can you have cursor/zone and button to swing instead of swing stick?

Yes you can. It's a little easier to use the button though, but yes you can use the button. I sometimes go back and forth when the stick method is getting too difficult. The button is pretty responsive too, it's not like 2k7 or 2k8 where it felt clunky. It's more sensitive thus easier to check swing, etc.
