ball physics are when pitching! I think it feels & looks amazing when mixing up the pitches and speeds. I ingnore the catcher and pitch where I want too and it's awesome! I have no problems striking batters out. They are a bit over anxious but not to the point of a deal breaker so far anyways with just the demo.

It's because they are overshadowed by the CPU batter.

I agree; They look great. But you kind of lose the joy from it when you see the CPU batter swing.... over and over...

This is why I am buying the PC version, I love it too. I also like batting and being able to strongly influence the path after making contact, it feels much more fluid than any baseball game I have ever played before. This seems to be a new trend in sports games (shot stick in the bball games, NHL 09 with the total stick control etc...) that is trying to combine simulation with fun arcade.

It has been long time since I enjoyed playing the arcade aspect of a baseball game, previous games have gotten better and better at recreating the batcher/pitcher battle, but it has become boring just selecting pitch location and timing when you press the button for a good pitch. Same with hitting where you just have to press the button at the right time (hard but monotonous).

The hit stick and pitch mechanics are fun and a step in the right direction, hopefully it will be better next year with more realistic CPU batter AI.

It's kind of tough with such slow pitch speeds, it just doesn't look that good. Speed up the pitch velocity and I can form a better opinion about the physics.
