    INJURIES IN FRANCHISE

Anyone w/ the game who has progressed along in franchise what have injuries been like?

Past years of 2K baseball you predominantly only saw positional players get injured, and seeing a pitcher go down was a rare occurence - which only seemed to happen on a consistent basis when playing a user game, and a pitcher getting hit by a linedrive or batted ball.

Is it any different this year?

For those who have 2K9, what can you report regarding injuries in franchise mode?

Did you turn injury up to 100%? I personally always do this in any sports game i play love to get my backups in. Also seeing that most injures are 1-3 days which meant they might miss 2 game having the bar full allowed for a lot of small injuries and maybe 2-5 big ones a season.

Just some advice if you didnt do this alrdy and like to see players go down.

but what ticks me off is that they really dont show the player get injured/ in pain like they do in madden 06. correct me if i am wrong that you do not know that they are injured until a screen pops up saying that, which is sad because that aint realistic they need to show the player in pain.

due to some rules and regulations of the mlb, they are not allowed to show this

Then why does it show players in pain in 2k8?

I always would have the injury slider at 100. It didn't really increase injuries to the point I expected w/ the slider maxed out. Pitchers hardly ever were injured...

No. I would see players having to helped off the field, or a player come up lame on fielding a ball. There would be an animation where the player would go the ground and hold the hurt ankle etc.

When the pitcher gets hit he sits down thats about all the "pain" you see right? I do agree a broken wrist should have the player on the ground not throwing to first and then leaving the field. Not a game breaker for me but something that would be nice

Lost a starting pitcher in my second game for two months. Bad news is that a bug is not allowing me to call up somebody from the minors to replace him. Turned on CPU control and it sent two position players down so now I'm down three players with no way to get them back up. LOL

                          Re: INJURIES IN FRANCHISE

In my only gm played over the weekend, 3rd gm of the season vs ATL, Jair Jurrjens went down in the 4th & Rafael Soriano followed him in the 7th or 8th.

Once the game was over both players were placed on the 15 day DL. Jurrjens w/ a lower back strain, and Soriano was an abdominal strain.

As for any bug between call-ups and send-downs, I haven't seen any problems.

The only player I've sent down so far is JC Romero; so he can ride out his 50 gm suspension.

Go to the Call Up/Send Down option, click the left stick, which toggles between the different major and minor league rosters for your organization. It will give you the option of sending the minor league player to the majors, effectively replacing your injured major league player.

I knew Sheets wasn't going to last the season but I thought he would last more than 7 innings . And I overpaid too ..... damn it.

                              So my rotation is now
                              Myers
                              Moyer
                              Blanton
                              Park
                              and probably - Carrasco

                              :vomit:

eta: oops put in here by mistake. Probably should have just stuck with it here.
