A patch will determine my purchase.

From all the comments and impressions here, I'm someone who has gone from a day one purchaser to one who will wait and see if a patch will be released. Otherwise, I just can't see myself spending $60 for another 2K baseball game that falls far short of expectations. And I'm not talking mine or the communities, but those given by the devs as well.

Unless some of the game play issues (batting AI) and online (hearing about problems with pick-offs and no cutscene graphics at all) are going to be fixed, I'll do without a new baseball game this year.

Time to say enough is enough, and hopefully others will too, and help 2k realize they can't get along with making half-arsed attempts at baseball anymore.

Try playing it first. I had doubts also,(thank to some of community) but I decided that in the end it was my call. I went at midnight, picked it up and have been more then happy with my purchase. I have a feeling I wont be the only one saying this either...

I'm with you 100% on this Bahnzo!!!! I just can't see paying $60 for yet another 2K baseball game with issues that are going to annoy me to no end. A patch and what it addresses will be paramount for my decision to even rent this game, much less drop sixty bills on it.

There were issues in the demo that had me on the edge of abusing my controller, LOL!! Most of these issues had to do with fielding snafus, both on the human side and some incredibly mind boggling bad AI on the CPU side. OH yeah, the AI batting tendencies are a huge part of it as well. I know I'm basing this on a demo from an earlier build of the game, but some of these issues I'm referring to have been pretty much confirmed as being present in the final game as well by people who have had the game for a few days.

I'm still in a wait and see mode...........I'm willing to give VC a chance to fix these issues. If they don't, then they wont get my business.

Once they start talking about the game needing a major patch even before the game is released, well. I'm out. No 2k for me this year. And yeah I know a "patch" will cure what is wrong, but I don't play xbox live any more and no one cares if the people who don't connect online has a fix or not. To which I say. . . 2k if you want any of my money ever again, for any game you make then, stop sitting on your hands and stop making excuses and develop a playable game for all.

I also don't feel like the game is worth $60 right now. If I had a good PC I'd get that version for sure. For now though I'm waiting for a patch or price drop.

Only way you're getting a price drop is if you buy the game used.

I am going to buy the game friday night and I picked up the show at midnight last night. IMO, I am buying it purely for fun and a change of pace and not trying to make a sim out of it but I feel for you with one option who that does not fly with. If you compare it directly to the competition, it should be around 40 bucks, not 60.
