has anyone tried editing a batter's attributes to see if the CPU will take strikes?

I've been through a lot of pages, so forgive me if this was answered already - but I realize sliders will not help since they took them out and this is our only hope (or a patch *sigh*)..

Has anyone with the game found any attributes that can be edited to lessen the freeswinging CPU? If so Im sure each of us could edit teams we know well to get realistic results per player and 2kshare the combined roster...like what OS accomplished with college hoops..

or is this a pipe dream? is there no way to fix this from editing - did they make IE too overpowering and screw up the AI? I really cant play a baseball game where the CPU hacks at everything in the zone, its crazy. last year we couldnt play the game online, this year I cant play it offline...

anyone have any insight on this, its really my only sticking issue with the game? thanks!

There is no way to fix this via player attributes. There are no player sliders that affect plate discipline, or lack thereof. There IS a "Draw Walk" slider which does absolutely nothing and which I assume only affects walk stats for a simmed season.

wow thats crazy. I did see that guru posted that someone at 2k said this issue would be patched. I hope that source is correct.

this is great news if it will be, but we also have to assume they get it correct on their first try...its a tricky balance, not too much, not too little, hopefully they get the batter aggressiveness correctly patched soon. I will buy it and cross my fingers they do!!!
