Seriously though, the core game is good. Just needs tweaked/patched a bit to be an even better game.

After my brother and I figured out how to hide pitches, we are LOVING the game. The attention to graphical detail is really good (especially at the Ballpark, where it looks better than ever in ANY game before).

I never played 2k8, so when I messed with custom soundtracks, it blew my mind to have Fox baseball's theme going on. When I bombed one out to the porch in right, the music from the Natural came on, and it truly felt like a game at the Ballpark. I love this game a lot, even though there are some quirks.

I was wondering about this too: How do you hide the pitch icon in 2 player? Are you talking about locking in the location with the Right Trigger?

I wonder if people realize how difficult it is to make a game like this that people like. I mean think of it for a second...

- People want a realistic, 'simmed' baseball experience. Well there are bunches of thoes out there wherein player attributes decide the success of that player. The text-based sims do this well. But...they are boring to play so...

- They make a game wherein human beings hold controllers and act the part of these players. It's not the virtual baseball player's attributes any more; now success is based on how well the human players can work the controller.

So how do they balance 'realism' (MLB players doing in the video game what they would do in real life) with the desire for living players to work the controls and determine the outcome? Consider that some players get really good at the controls and that means utility infielders start blasting HRs like Ortis on steroids (oops, bad analogy).

I have to believe it's a really hard balancing act. That's why it's a shame that Front Office Manager was so poorly executed.

And you could edit stances and deliveries last year in 2k8, so why the hell did they take that option out?What good does that do?I know they lost my 60 bucks for taken it out.

HK be easy man. It's not that serious. Fine 2k has lost you as a customer, but 2 come in here & blast people for enjoying or trying to enjoy this game is dead wrong.

So let me get this straight. If someone only owns a 360 and doesn't boycott 2k, then that person is ruining "realistic" baseball gaming on the 360. Thanks for clearing that up. And here I thought it was the MLB's fault for signing that exclusivity deal, or 2k's for making a baseball game that clearly isn't about baseball, but the truth of the matter is it's those of us who are "pick up and play lamer"s.

So thank you for explaining that.

Every year 2k baseball games have something wrong with it..And every year theres people like the ones in this thread that just don't even care about the problems with the game.

The A.I hacks at everything, you can barely edit anything,fielding is STILL clunky,bugs galore, but hey, it still plays a great game of baseball!Somehow it just does!

2k will continue to release crappy baseball games because not enough people are putting their foot down and saying F you 2k, you won't be getting my money!
