I'd like to know,too. I asked this on this forum and on the 2K forums (I have PC version), and for some reason,either noone knows this answer...or noone feels like taking the time to answer. Very frustrating.
Anyway,I cna see NO options for the above,which is unbelieveable as every single PC graphical game I've every played have had these options.

I have 360 version and I don't see options for fielding or baserunning (assist or auto).

It sucks. I use autofielding on the show and was disappointed and surprised that this game doesn't have that option.

I dont about auto base running guys,but its clear that if you dont touch the fielders they will field for you or at the very least get them going in the right direction.This is the pc version.

Base running isn't that hard to do, but I'll admit it sucks for those who don't want to do it.

The option to not auto-field, or at the very least semi-auto fielding where the CPU will run down balls for you and you decide where to throw, to not be in the game is

So, the question remains...will the cpu field the ball for you? I know you have to select where to throw it, but will the cpu get to the ball and field it before you tell it where to throw? I don't mean will it start you in the right direction. Will it get you to the ball and field it?

Some of the posts here seem to contradict each other.

Will the fielder automatically field the ball? I know the user controls throwing. But will the fielder not only start towards the ball, but actually get there and field it without user action on the controller?

Is there any difference between the PC and 360 versions?

I can comment on the 360 version..... The only assist i have seen it they start out in the right direction other than that you do the rest which is fine makes you interact more with all aspects of the game. If you hit the stick wrong or run past thats it you just missed it it does not lock you on the pop ups you have to stay in the yellow manually which imo makes the game better.

I can't even get the jerk to move. Automatic IPHR every time they hit it into fair territory... damn.
