so the game does have one button classic hitting/no cursor

been told by quite a few people that it doesn't, yet when i finally popped the game in last night, i noticed there is a control option to have classic hitting with no cursor..

There's no cursor because it's not zone -- in case there's confusion.

so it's just a timing thing then and nothing to do with aiming where the ball is via left stick?

i really didn't get to play that much last night to really get a feel for it

Wondering if anyone with the PC version of the game can tell me where this setting is to turn on classic hitting. Just can't get into flick stick thing.

        Thanks.

Go to options and then to control setup. Once in the control setup menu press 4 on the keyboard and it will bring up another menu that will allow you to switch to different pitching and hitting types.

You use the Left Stick to influence the direction of your hit. If you want to hit a fly ball to right field, then push up and to the right on the Left Stick. The location of the ball is in the strike zone has an effect on how well you can aim it, so it's best to influence your hit towards the location of the pitch (if the pitch is to the right of the zone, then push to the right with the Left Stick, etc). However, you can still aim any direction you want regardless of the pitch location, but your results will vary base on the pitch location.

I laid out all the options for those who would like to know:
