do you think you can play the game for longer than 1 day before you submit a review that, in the title, says your going to let people know to get the game or not? I mean, you play the game for 1 day and you think you should influence people to buy the game? come on man, at least give the game a week.

edit- never-mind, I just re read your last paragraph and you completely lost it when you said "they started from scratch and built the game from the ground up". Again, I recommend also knowing what your talking about before recommending someone purchase something.

Actually, there are rumors floating around that VC did if fact build something new from the ground up for this game. It wasn't the gameplay or animations for sure, given the game essentially looks and plays like the last few versions. Must have been something to do with the presentation...?

Talk to me when that game has seperate line changes, board play, good checking animations and you can actually tell the difference between skill and utility players, etc, etc, etc, 2k9 has all of that and more. I guess I'm hijacking this thread, but the only thing I will agree with you on is 2k games are more sim and EA games are arcade. The hockey series is laughable. It hasn't did anything for me since NHL 04 and madden?
For the most part I agree. Not a big EA fan at the moment. But I will say this, NBA Live and the Live 365 updates they do are quality for sure. I have always hated NBA Live and always been a 2k BBall player, but this year, I have played Live a lot more than 2k. Which one is better? Matter of preference, but Live is definitely a quality product.

Same could be said about the 2k baseball game when compared to MVP Baseball. An EA product that was without a doubt superior to the 2k product.

            Epic....Fail....
You do know that 3 year plan was suppose to be Brinkman's under taking when he took over in 06. Kush was dismantled in mid-development of last year. KUSH had nothing to do with 2k9.

My story is I recently bought a PS3 and the show 09. It is a great game...but then my friend brought over mlb 2k9 for 360. If you are looking for the closest thing to real baseball get the show ...if not from a casual baseball fan 2k9 is more than playable. Some glitches here and there but hopefully with the patches those can be ironed out. So I will be selling my ps3 and buying mlb 2k9, nba 2k9, and rock band 2. No need to spend 500 dollars for the best baseball game.

And that's exactly who 2K identified as their target audience. The developers stated they made the game easier and assessable for the casual, pick-up-and-play gamer.
