My only question here is if you dont like to direct your hit like me and wanna play like last year where you just swing and it goes where its suppose to......does this still work? do i need to use the left stick or can i just swing away and still get the same types of hits?

You don't have to use the left stick if you don't want to. You'll still see nice hit variety, but if you want to accurately aim your hits then you should use the left stick too. -

I have been able to hit the all over the field just by pushing the swing swing stick in that direction without using the L-Stick to influence.Comment

Something is funky with my controller then. If I push forward like I did last year, my guys just stand there and watch the balls go by.
I actually have to swing the R-stick up the edge like i am throwing a hook punch in Fight Night. If i go straight from 6o'clock to 12'o'clock, nothing happens. I have to ride the side to get them to swing.

I tried using the stick for swinging, and my guy just stood there everytime and swung sometimes. I just switched to Classical Hitting which is so much better and easierJerm
