what am I doing wrong?

So many times my 3rd baseman or catcher is standing there holding the ball and a runner slides to 3rd or home and my fielder doesnt tag the runner. In a situation where the runner is out by 10 feet he somehows scores with no tag. Is there a way to manually tag out a runner?

I think the controller setup says that "RB" is block the plate. I haven't tried it, but that may solve your problem.

I think that's the case with tagging runners out at home plate, but I've had the same thing happen to me at 3B.

Actually, I've had the 3B-man both a) not attempt to tag the runner out, and b) attempt to tag the runner out, do so by a mile, and the runner is still called safe.

Oh well.
