    Outfielders are INTENTIONALLY slow?

Sometimes I think the 2k devs intentionally made the outfielders slow in certain situations. My theory is the 2k devs made sure that sometimes the outfielders will not always get to every ball and make the safe play and keep the ball in front of them. When we are running after a ball, especially a shallow fly and all of a sudden the OF slows down, maybe that is their way of telling us that the OF is unable to get to the ball, and is just playing it safe.

I would certainly hope this is the case because fielding has been annoying me. But there has to be a better way to handle this.

The slow down is definitely intentional. It is in response to the jerky controls felt in past iterations of 2k baseball. The fielding has always been an issue in MLB 2k, but I think this year is better than the past few except for the 1B stepping off the bag thing.

I think it was a very conscious design decision.

I didn't think last year's fielding was that bad. But this year, everything into the outfield is an adventure! haha It takes a lot of effort sometimes to run down some of the flies and half my putouts with my outfielders are catches on the run or shoestring catches lol...craziness.

My single biggest issue with this game and the reason I'm not buying it!!! I can live with some of the other stuff, but when this stupid intentional slow down happens and the ball skips past my outfielder to the wall for a double or triple.....very frustrating!!!!!! If this type of thing was shared between my CPU opponent and myself equally, then it wouldn't be so frustrating but that's not the case.

The slowdown is the same sort of programming that's in NFL 2K5, another VC game. It's there to emulate different players' "reaction time." And yes, it does a bad job of it. A very poor way to code a game.

The fielders slow and so oes the ball. It is an attempt to make fielding easier.

Ive played abour 6-8 games now and never once has outfielders been an issue for me.

I have other issues with the game, mostly the batters agressivness. Fielding in this game is rather well done if you know how to play it.

One of the games was a 19 inning marathon. It was not settled on any fielding play.

There is a slider under fielding, to control speed of fielders. I assume you have this set to 100 and are still dissatisfied with OF speed?
