    Player stats during game

So is there any way to view player season stats or even names easily during play?

In 2K8 you could press left or right on the D-pad and stats for the batter would be in the top right, pitcher top left. You could view ERA for the game, ERA overall, W/L overall, results for the game, batting average for the season, ratings, etc

Now all you can see is the occassional stat when a player walks up, which you are at the whim and mercy of what the computer decides to show you. And pitcher? When a sub pitcher comes in from the other team you don't get to see a single stat or their name

Is there something I'm missing, or is this feature gone?

I'd guess the feature is gone, much like many other features that they have taken out that were in past versions of the game.
