I skipped this game last year, and now I picked it up as a rental to see if it has progressed past the glitchyness that it suffered from 2 years ago. Thus far, I'd have to say that the answer is a resounding no.
It seems they took away many of the sliders that used to make the game more palatable.
It seems they took away features from franchise like hiring scouts and such. Or maybe I just can't find them.
And more troubling, it still seems there are massive problems in gameplay. At least 5 times per game I inexplicably throw a rainbow ball in the field because the meter stops as soon as it starts even though I hold the button down.
All this on top of the apparent refusal of CPU hitters to take enough pitches to match realism.
Maybe I just need to get used to the game, but I think I'll have to play my brother's PS3 if I want a baseball game this year.
