Do starting pitchers ever stay in?

I'm playing the Padres in my Dodgers franchise, and so far in our opening series none of their starters have gone more than like 3 innings....do the starters ever go long into a game? I even have pitcher fatigue at 40 because I'm getting realistic pitch counts...

are their pitchers getting high pitch counts after 3 innings? How are you getting realistic pitch counts?

They will have anything from around 30-45 pitches after 3 innings. This game I'm in now, Baek gave up three runs in the first and threw 49 pitches. They pinch hit him in the bottom of the third though.

Try bumping the pitcher fatigue to 55. The cpu will usually keep the pitcher in until the 6th-7th inning. Unless of course you're crushing the opposing pitcher.

I have the fatigue at 35 and starters are staying in a while.

Just got done with a Nationals/Marlins game

2-0 Marlins (me) in the 4th and they let John Lannan hit. They didn't pull him until the 7th (when the Nats had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out) with the score 3-0

No, because the AI starts their pitchers way too frequently in franchise mode. Too many times I've seen the AI starting pitcher with anywhere between 25-60% energy to begin the game. You can view the energy levels of all players on both your team and the AI team by pushing the start button while a franchise game is loading.

If your talking about CPU starters then it's yes. When I play the CPU the pitching is managed superbly and I haven't touched one single slider.
