Official 2K Roster Update from 03/06/09...Did you guys notice something

I downloaded it today because I deleted it before and got up this morning and downloaded it again..

I noticed that the players cleats are all shinny black now...they dont look washed out black....I am playing mets at yankees and I remember Jeter's cleats before were washed out as all the others in the game and now they are real shinny...looks much improved

and this is for all cleats in the game

The game is playing much better for me as well now. Probably just a coincidence. Really liking this game. They patch this badboy i will be in heaven.

KGin, i played it last night and i thought it was much better than a couple days ago also. i played two games and they were a 5-7 loss and a 1-5 loss (gave up a 2 run homer in the 9th ) in the first game i had back to back Ks!

There is no black its just Grey, and white is Grey as well wtf?

I DID notice that they gave Johan Santana his circle change back. In the original roster set, he had a straight change which is inaccurate.

I wonder if 2k integrated the living rosters feature as a way to bypass the 2 patch limit enforced by Microsoft? If it is a gameplay issue that can be tweaked through player rankings and IE, then I assume 2k is going to address it.

It sucks that they do this crap in a freaking roster update.

What if I already started my damn franchise, and now that cleats and gloves ACTUALLY look like cleats and gloves what am I supposed to do???

I hope they patch this **** too. That just pisses me off because I'm not going to start over.

I was in communication with a guy that worked on implementing leagues for 2K and he once told me that they can do updates outside of patches that address specific things. I think that's what we are seeing.

They've also changed the Cubs cleats to blue. they were grey and outside the laces and the bottom of the shoes, you couldn't change the main colors. They still have the Cubs road hats as all blue, but should be red billed unless the team has changed and I wasn't aware.

Funny cuz I thought that the Cubs cleats were black (grey) which irritated me, then I played with them after the roster update and they were Blue. Thought I was going crazy for a moment.

Hopefully, they make this change with the Dodgers and the Royals as well.

Also, I know that the Jays undershirts were blue, but I went to edit some of their players accessories and noticed that the undershirts (in the player editor) were black. I haven't played with them in a game yet to verify.

That is pretty cool. I hope 2K continues to make detailed improvements throughout the season.
