i need help choosing between 2K8 and 2K9

    whats your opinion?
Everything is better in 2K9 except for the new pitching system. Just because you can have 100% control over where your pitches go. Can you change that and use 2K8s instead? And i am a huge franchise mode player, and i herd theres problems with big names going into free agency too often, and sometimes not even getting signed...and that somehow rookies with bad ratings can have remarkable numbers...so if that can get fixed i will get 2k9 if those cant i will get 2k8....so does anyone know if it can?....

There are problems with both games, but if I were you I would choose 2k9. I got a bit of enjoyment out of last years even with the problems and while the new one has problems I am really enjoying myself with it so far. I usually tell people just to rent though since what we think doesn't always matter to someone else.

You can revert back to the 2k8 Pitching Controls if you like. The free agency problem has been fixed. What really plagues this game is:

AI Hitters are a little over aggressive @ the plate.
The animations @ times feel/look robotic.
The New Presentation on the field is rough around the edges.

Yes, if you can look past those things, then you'll like it. I'm hoping they can at least fix the AI aggression. Then I'll be happy with it. The hit variety is much better than 2K8, and the commentary and graphics (besides animations) are better as well.

I would choose MLB 2K9 because it has more updated rosters than 2K8

wow, fixing that free agency problem took no time at all....i just asked my friend about that pitching system...and he said they have one thats kind of like 2k8, except it doesnt have the release factor which dictates the accuracy... is he an idiot or is that true?
because thats all i need in the game, i dont want to be able to throw a strike whenever i want, it kills it......thanks for your input guys....
now i just need someone to explain the rookies who have a 64 overall rating...and end up being the mvp and put up insane numbers....is that fixed too? or does that rarley happen to the point where it doesnt really matter?

The default pitching doesn't have the release step, but you can turn it on in the Control Options.
