See if anyone knows what I'm talking about.
The gameplay, mainly the hitting; feels 'bottled'. Like, in all-star difficulty and sliders around that difficulty, it is a homer fest that results in a slugfest game after game after game. No variance. Now when its bumped up to Legend, hitting becomes unrealistically impossible just as it did on mlb 2k8. Most hitters cannot reach the warning track and the few that can hit with power do it rarely and it creates a frustrating experience. This skill setting and sliders I've seen on here create a gameplay where game after game after game you get 2-1 or 1-0 or 3-2 scores. No variance is seen. When I say no variance, you will not see a 10-8 or 15-4 game thrown in there. It is literally impossible. Also certain hitters cannot hit anything but weak grounders/pop flys. This grows frustrating and soon its not even close to fun.
I've tried a lot of the sliders, but I'm yet to see one where its like real baseball, meaning one game you can have a shutout of 1-0 or 2-0 and the next game you can have that realistic variance of a 13-10. It's all or nothing. Also with a lot of the sliders only the hitters with higher power ratings in the lineup are able to hit home runs. Once again unrealistic. Overall with the sliders I've witnessed on here you see a lot of close games like 5-4 or 6-5 but you don't see the realism variance of being able to get a slugfest and those weaker hitters in the lineup really are a complete non factor.
This is no one's fault, especially those who create the sliders. Further its just what makes it a broken game to me.
Does anyone feel this 'bottled' that I'm talking about?
