    CPU OF wall catches

Has anyone seen any? It seems everytime the homerun arrow and the yellow circle meet on the wall, the CPU OF gets caught in an animation and hits the wall and the ball bounces off the wall back into play?

Anyone seen any catches out there?

I had Adam Dunn catch one off the wall yesterday on a deep shot by Manny.

Granted he didn't get too far off the ground but it was a "leaping" catch in Adam Dunn's book.

That's good to hear... I just wish I would see more of that too. Anyone else see any of this stuff happening?

Not really i have caught one off the wall but the cpu has not on me yet. It hits off the wall but when i hit a hr and it is says 5-10 feet over the wall they jump but have no chance of catching it as it is too far.

          Re: CPU OF wall catches

I asked this question a couple months ago, but I was wondering if anyone has noticed an improvement in CPU outfielders making nice catches at the wall.... It seems no matter what the difficulty, the ball always hits the wall and they run into the wall while trying to make the catch. I can make nice catches but i'd like to see the AI make some too..

Anyone see some nice CPU catches or have some advice on sliders?

i have seen the cpu leap to make catches off the wall. however, most of the time the ball hits the wall and goes back toward the infield while the cpu gets caught in a canned leaping animation, which sometimes provides me with an extra base.

Yea...same for me. I HAVE seen the CPU make the catch, but more often than not the above is the norm.

Ok well that is good to know that people have been experiencing that animation but have still seen catches.

So it doesn't seem to be repairable via sliders or difficulty settings...?

The outfielders not catching it is better then them catching every ball hit to the wall in 2k8 and 2k7.

I agree but I would like to see a balance between the two instances. I see too many missed catches, and it's the same animation each time

This is my only major gripe with the game. Otherwise, I am really enjoying 2k9.
