hey everyone - last night i was playing on my Rangers franchise and i was able to combat the first baseman issue. when i would field a ground ball i would throw to first - if the first baseman stretches to catch the baseball then i knew he was going to catch it (100% of the time). If he doesnt stretch be prepared to press towards first base. the first baseman would run to the bag and get the runner out. You have to be quick and pay attention to whether or not he stretches for the baseball, but i was 5/5 last night. fyi – smonee

I figured this out as probably have many hardcore gamers on this site but it isn't fail proof.
Still happens several times a game even if pressing the joystick toward the base, sometimes the first baseman will back into the base but miss the bag and the runner will be safe. This HELPS but it isn't a fix in the fact the glitch still occurs, at least for me anyway.
Anyone say to themselves "man its pathetic that we're even talking about this"? -
