Using the Mets and just not getting any quality hits and 0 homeruns, help?

Like i said in the topic, Now im using swing stick with no left stick influence.

Sliders are

Success - 40
Contact - 5
Power - 70

My hits just seems weak and go nowhere (now im used to swing stick from last year and hit very well) My contact is at 5 yet i never swing and miss and i have 0 homeruns (granted this is only tested on 2 full games)

any suggestions? Should any of these sliders be moved based on how i play ( swing stick no left stick influence)

also does any of the other sliders that EVERYONE have at 100 need to be adjusted does anyone think? (Pitcher handedness influence/IE batting zone influence/Batting pitch influence) those 3 sliders are basically at 100 in everyones slider sets for both Human and CPU

im just so confused on what im doing wrong, I have hit very well in every MLB game dating back to World Series Baseball 2K3. Not sure what im doing wrong here

I see a noticible difference in hitting with the hit success slider on 40 and 50. On 40, line drives turn into bloops, and doubles to the gap turn into routine cans of corn! If you go up to 50 it should make a difference, but I would drop the power down to 65 at first. With these settings and the Rangers I have gotten HR's from Blaylock, Andrew Jones, Salty, and Young in the last 5 games or so.

Thank you, I will attempt that next, Ill bump to 50-60 success and bring power down to 65 and pay a few games, I have gotten the pitching down again this year and the CPU seems to get a decent amount of hits and power also although ill have to test for of that soon. Will not start a franchise till sliders are perfect.

If you could post the same sliders that you have the CPU using that would be great, especially if your gettin realistic results

I kinda have the same problem. I use classic hitting. My sliders are success 25, contact 50, and power 80. IE influence is 0. I have hit only like 1 hr in the past several games and I use the dodgers. My hit totals come out very realistic so I don't wanna mess with my success slider. Any tips?

Your Success is to low and Contact to high you have them backwards.

Leave it as is and just keep upping the Power becuase if you go much higher in Success you have a hit-a-thon going and then it's no longer sim.

Hit Success is a sensitive slider.

Yes and a variety game games like low hit to higher hits very sim.

can anyone here provide a set of sliders where every guy in the lineup CAN realistically homer; while it not being a hit fest? AKA very sim?

I have toyed with the sliders and made it so the hit totals are very realistic but can only get homers in my lineup from Phillips, Jay Bruce, Encarnacion..... and the weaker hitting guys in my lineup can do nothing as far as power goes seem to fly out weakly every time up.

I NEED HELP!

I will have to try those. I' getting bloop hit after bloop hit and it gets me nowhere on the scoreboard.

yea the bloops that go nowhere and grounders that look like roger clemens hit them are getting frustrating lol. My advice after reading many answers to my posts is go with this set and you may find yourself very happy

Success - 50 (seems to get good variety, may even bump to 55 or 60)

Contact - 0 (still wont swing and miss often)

Power - 65 (should get some power from weaker hitters)


I'm still looking for some good input on a CPU slider for those same 3, right now i have it at

Success - 40 (thinkin of upping it to 50 tho)

Contact - 5 (good amount of swings and misses which u need since they dont take much)

Power - 65 ( with success at 40 i see much homers)

anyone else got any opinions

btw im usuing total control pitching (using classic pitching you get absolutly hammered i have realized!!!)

20 games into my franchise. I've hit at least 1 HR with Kinsler, Young, Hamilton, Jones, Cruz, Blaylock, Davis, Salty, Teagarden and Murphy. This is with the sliders as follows:

Batting Success: 50
Contact: 0
Power: 65
Pitcher Handedness: 100
IE Zone: 0
Batting Pitch: 100
Batters Eye: 0
Hit Direction: 50

I've toyed with the power at 70, but Hamilton was hitting a HR every other game it seemed. Also, with the Success at 40, I could only hit HR's with Hamilton! You could maybe go to 45, or drop the power to 60 if your having too easy of a time.

Also of note, with several of they guys in my lineup, I try to slap the ball the other way to get basehits, so I'm not expecting HRs from Arias, Vizquel, Boggs, or Byrd.

SFGiants is very correct about the success slider. It is the most powerful slider I have seen so far.

Success around 30 to 40
Contact around 0 to 5
Power around 55 to 65

If you use these setting with the swing stick you will have good realistic games and still hit home runs at a much more realistic pace. 1-2 home runs a game. I am putting up around 2 HR's a game. Not always with the same guy.

I am having games in the 4-8 scores, with 5-12 hits per game. Very realistic stats if you look at ESPN right now.

So I am very pleased with the results. If we get a fix for the second base pickoff I will be very happy. Hitting a big double and then not being able to get back to the bag and picked off every single time they attempt is ANNOYING!!!!!!! Then I have pickoff success at ZERO lol!!!!!!

If not using hit direction then success needs to be 50-60
