I may pick this up again if the patch fixes the issues. It would be a nice compliment to the Show.

Re: patch # 2 announced
Many patches don't require you to start over. You can pretty much bet though, if the franchise issues are addressed in any capacity, then you'd have to restart to see there effects.Comment

Re: patch # 2 announced
we are getting closer and closer to developers confirming initial releases are "beta tests", 2 patches before opening day, essentially 1 month, and major issues, not just rosters or something, why the heck didnt they wait until april to release this game?Comment

If they released the game later, they get their money later. I am sure they did this to attempt to compete with The Show.Comment

Re: patch # 2 announced
I have held off getting 2K9 because of some of the reported issues, lack of the ability to edit signature stuff, etc. And I wasn't really into it after playing the demo. But if patch two addresses the biggest reported problems plus gives us more player editing options, AND the game is $42.99 at Amazon? I will not hesitate to pick this game up.Comment

They cant, MLB sets the release date and the game has to be out by then.Comment

Re: patch # 2 announced
Are you sure, because that would make it just about the only sports game that has a set release date. I mean usually a company wont release a game until they know it can be released by a certain date, but I remember College Hoops 2k7 being pushed back about 1-2 months. However, usually when a game is pushed back, its usually a week or two, not a month.Comment
