Added Missing Pitches

Hey guys not sure if this is posted anywhere, I looked but couldn't find it.

Anyway that last living roster update not only fixed the way the cleats looked but it also gave Rivera his two seam fastball which had been missing. I thought Living Rosters would only update rosters everyday which is cool enough. I'm absolutely loving these little mini-fixes that are coming with it as well.

Anyone find any other little fixes or added pitches?

yeah, i noticed that burnett now has a knuckle curveball... not sure he really does in real life, however. i know he throws a 2 seamer, but that's not in there. instead he has a knuckle and regular curveball.

since you were using the yanks, did you get to see if they added a 4 seamer to wang's arsenal?? his fastball is thrown anywhere from 93-95mph in real life, yet they haven't given him one in the game. Every pitcher has a 4 seam fastball in real life. Hell, even wakefield has one. So i hope the update takes care of that eventually, if it didn't already.

Did the roster update give Chien Meng Wang a 2 seam fastball?

The knuckle curve is Burnett's signature pitch.

I remember reading an article about him and his knuckle curve. He grows his nails out long, and sharpens them so that he can dig them into the ball for his knuckle curve.

Nice, didn't know that. Knew moose threw one, but not Burnett. I hope they add his 2 seamer sometime. I know i've read about that. Saying he learned to throw that more and more to save on his arm last year, and stay off of the DL!

I also heard Webb is missing his 2-seam and the Pelfrey (mets) is missing his sinker

How about let us add the missing pitches? Hence, ALLOW US TO EDIT PITCHES OURSELVES. Why in the world would 2K Sports take this feature out of the game? I'm just baffled at this being done & take such a step backwards. We have to use rosters updates & patches to fix soooooooooooooooooooooo many things with this game. It's disappointing but at least they made the gameplay better. Geez!

Yea at least you can see the dust fly up while your player is doing somersaults in the outfield

how bout you add something constructive to the thread instead of bitching and moaning about something you're not gonna get.

back to the topic I just checked Wang and he does have a 4 seam and 2 seam fastball now.

Don't you come to these boards with your very few posts & try to act like a policeman. I'm on topic because we shouldn't even be having this issue to begin with dude! Yeah, they may have added missing pitches for a select few players but this is just not right for us to depend on THEM to edit the pitching arsenal for all players. Anything else captain?

I also read that at the beginning of one season Burnett was having trouble with his fingernail, making it impossible to throw his knuckle curve. Due to this he had to rely on his change up. This subsequently greatly improved his effectiveness as he became more of a three pitch pitcher instead of a two pitch pitcher.

Indeed I do buddy. First of all I could have 1 post and that still wouldn't change the fact that in this situation I'm right and you're wrong. Don't be mad at me just because I called you out on your borderline trolling that's your own fault. Second of all, hows all that complaining workin out for ya? Any big changes occurred in your copy of 2K9 that haven't happened on mine?

I'm just glad that they are using the living rosters as a chance to right some wrongs and shine up a few things, instead of just pumping out once a month updates with slight changes. Kudos to 2K for the Living Rosters feature. I'd just like a little more transparency in how the ratings are tweaked/changed.

Hopefully Ross Ohlendorf will get either a 4 seam fastball or a 2 seamer before the patch. I don't even see how they can make a pitcher without a fastball of any type ...
