Stat Tracking Error

Howdy all,

I am not sure if this should be in the bugs section as I read Sim asking if there was a thread with people having stat tracking errors.

I thought I would state what I have experienced. If anyone else has had any, please tack em on.

I am playing a franchise with Tampa Bay. No downloaded rosters or anything. No fantasy draft. Just regular franchise.

I called up my first and second basemen from AAA. After starting three full games, they have no stats whatsoever. No batting average, no RBIs, nothing.

Just letting you folks know.

Again, if anyone else has had any stat tracking errors, please post em so the 2k peeps are aware.

2. Are you controlling multiple teams? If so how many? No

3. What year of the franchise are you in? 1

4. Did you download any rosters or info from 2kshare? No

My created player had 5 ab's today w/ 5 RBI's was 3 for 5 1HR etc.. his stat line was 0/0 with 2 runs scored. ????

I am having the stat tracking error in my franchise. I have 3 pitchers(1 SP, 1 SU, and 1 CL) and 1 batter that don't appear to have their stats tracked. I just started watching this closer and it seems that after every game if you go check their player cards their 2009 team is different every time. I think the stats are out there but in some database the team is getting changed so you don't see their stats since they don't play for the team shown.

Not sure what to make of it.

I have tried editing the player to see if that forces the correct team but it doesn't. I tried trading and/or releasing the player to Free Agency and that doesn't change anything either.

Is it just me or do they not keep track of holds right in this game? I look at guy's stats and they have 20+ holds the past 3 seasons in real life and in the game they have 4 or 5. Any1 else having this problem?

The more I read, the more amazed I become at all the problems with this game. This really does seem to be record breaking. How could they take a game (MLB 2K8) that with the latest patch played pretty well and didn't have these types of problems to the pile of crap this game appears to be. Incredible!

I gotta say though, I like the gameplay better this year than it was last year. I haven't been hit w/ the gameplay glitches that every1 else has complained about yet. There's errors and stuff every once in awhile that seem kinda screwy, but stuff happens like that in real life too, but I still think this game is better than last year's.

Well that's cool. I actually have not played it yet as the kind of complaints I am reading would ruin the game for me. Many of these same issues were mentioned by IGN early on in the development process but somehow 2k didn't get the memo. My favorite thing about sports game is the dynasty and with the problems with stats, traded players showing up as different players, etc. would be game killers for me. If the gameplay is actually better than last year, then maybe the game will be more complete next year...

You hit the nail on the head dude. I don't even play the game. how sad is that? You know a game is bad if I don't even bother to play it.

1. No Fantasy Draft

2. All teams setup as user but have only played games as 1 team.

3. First year of the franchise about 25 games in.

4. Rosters are default with whatever 2k Live updates where in before I started the franchise.

Since my last post, the 4 players are now showing the Astros(the correct team) as their 2009 team but not the correct stats. All 4 have the same exact stats both pitching and hitting. They have had the correct team for a couple of games now and the stats changed randomly after each game. Still not sure what to make of it besides the fact that it is some sort of database issue.

In simulated games, pitching wins and losses are consistently wrong. Guy will pitch into the eighth, get pulled and get the win when team scores go-ahead run in the ninth. Seen it many times.
