PC version - throwing

I am using a Saitek P880 controller. Throwing the ball in this game is making me nuts.

I use button throwing...4 buttons. If a ground ball to left side of infield I would expect to use the button on right to throw to first. If I want to throw to second, do I use button on top? How does throwing work with classic button throwing on PC? It has me all confused.

You should configure the controller to your liking in the controller setup menu.

FWIW, I find the analog stick to be more responsive, anyway. And I started out using the buttons.

I am thrown a bit by the descriptions in the control section - they are not mapped to "throw to first base", "throw to second base", etc. Maybe I'll have to use the stick...

The problem I'm having, and it's with two controllers, is that when you change the button assignment one one page - say you change the set command to Right Stick Down, it changes the associated section in the same spot on EVERY control page with the same command.

No matter how many times you change, it changes the control on every other page to match what is on the current page.

This is with a Saitek P2500 Rumble and the Logitech Wireless Rumble.

Reading around shows that people aren't having any problems with the X360 controllers.

They're mapped "Throw to a base" then "up, down, left, and right"

Up=2B ("Y" on 360)
Down=Home ("A" on 360)
Left=3B ("X" on 360)
Right=1B ("B" on 360)

Should just be able to transfer that info over to your pad accordingly

Does not work with Madcatz 360 controller. X thows to second from outfield. Other buttons do not sync up either. Why can't they say "Throw to first", "Throw to second". Ugh. I gave up.
