As someone who has worked in engineering and QA, they ARE the same issue. When engineers or developers know they have a weak QA department (or none at all, which I suspect is the case here), they need to take that into account and actually care about the end product. They need to pick up the slack and do more to ensure they're releasing a quality product. The numerous bugs and poor AI is the result of lazy developers at best, and sheer incompetence at worst.

QA and developers are supposed to work with one another, in the same department. QA may not have the technical knowledge to fix issues, but they damn well better have an exchange with the developers. If QA isn't doing this, the job falls on the developers to make sure they're getting good feedback. You're treating them as if they're wholly separate parts of the process, when they're not, nor should they be.

And yeah, as it stands now, the real time atmosphere is pure gimmick, and poorly implemented at that.

Yeah, if VC cared, they wouldnt have released this garbage, or had patches immediately ready. Your gonna try to tell me no one saw these issues during testing, or was no testing properly done, cmon!

Those are mine my friend. The first one the only real good one, the other ones I made out of pure frustration. Most watched video in South Korea last week. Hoping to get more views though

The problem here is that I don't think many of you are actually putting yourself in their shoes. This isn't some fun thing they do on the side, this is something that they work hard at because it is their job. When they know that the people before them didn't do close to a half- ***** job, and when they hear complaints from the fan saying "They aren't releasing enough information," or "This game better have a demo so we can chew out every single detail before it comes out," or "Why is the release date so far away, I WANT TO PLAY BASEBALL NOW," or "It better have every single customization item possible down to whether or not they pee themselves after they hit a home run," it's hard for them to please everybody. I think they did try to please everybody, and it resulted in some glitches and a few missed details.

What would you say about them if they had said "We are holding back our release until the first Tuesday in April." I doubt looking back on it you would say to go ahead and release a finished product. I would bet $500 and a ham sandwich that all of you would cry thinking that the game would be full of glitches, and would start a campaign right then and there to demand a refund a month before the game hit the shelves.

This game is not great, but it is a good game. I personally can look over not being able to pull a players pants leg up to the middle of his shins. If you can't, then find another game that suits your fancy and wait for 2k10. Hopefully, you won't be as bitter as you are today.

haha, If that were the only problem with this game, then of course I'd be happy. However, it's the actual gameplay problems that irritate me (AI aggression, fielding problems, players walking through each other, etc). I'm waiting to see what the patch can do, but until then, I can't force myself to play this game, and haven't touched it in over a week. I'm glad you can, but that doesn't mean the rest of us have to lower our standards just because you like it, hehe.

I on the other hand went out and bought The Show for PS2 and am loving it. The graphics aren't as good because it's on PS2, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Solid gameplay is way more important to me. I'd take this over 2K9 any day of the week, at least until 2K9 gets patched, but I'm not getting my hopes up until I actually see what the patch really does to the game.

I haven't lowered my standards; I've just learned how to play the game. The key is to hold the left stick to where you want the player to go. If you don't want him to miss a pop fly, hold the stick up so he'll adjust. If you want him to tag first, hold the left stick to the right. It's just that simple.

If you want the hitter to strike out, VARY YOUR PITCHES. Yes, the AI is aggressive, but use it to your advantage. This isn't rocket surgery people.

Sorry, everyone in the world has video evidence of glitches in the game. First base glitch (messed up animation), etc. This game blows, it deserved the 4.5 it got from different people. Could it be good? With patches yes. Should loyal consumers be forced to wait months for a patch? Hell no.

OK, some people had the chance to dump on a developer, but it ends now. No doubt there are problems with the game -- I've experienced them myself when playing, lost 9-3 last night with 5 of those coming on two goofy OF animations -- but asking repeatedly questioning the developer's effort, integrity, etc is pointless.
