It really is terrible. The only good thing I have been able to pull out of if is there is no more of that lag from 2k8. The one good thing 2k had going for them was the new pitching controls... soooo much fun in my opinion, but they have been TOTALLY dumbed down in 2k9... guess people have a hard time moving their fingers.
the worst thing is, it isn't just little glitches that people can live with... the ones that we are seeing are absolute game killers.
Don't count on a patch, 2k patches don't seem to ever solve anythingComment

For me, the game really is fun a lot of the time. It's just that unless you're a casual baseball or videogame fan, there's always some little (or BIG) glitch that gets in the way of you really enjoying the game. I had stretches of several games in a row that were really fun, aside from getting through the opposition on five or six pitches every inning, and then games where pop-ups go sailing through my perfectly camped outfielder or the ball getting stuck in the wall and not being able to pick it up, or one of the myriad of other screw-ups I witnessed. I just end up cursing the game and giving up.
You learn and move on to The Show. Not only is that game fun, but it just feels like real baseball. Everything makes sense and works. When you hit a ball well (and it's not easy) you feel like the ball went that way for a reason. I don't know, it just clicks.
I gave 2K9 a fair shot and was unable to overlook the flaws. But I'm a happy, if not broke, baseballer now.Comment

I think it's def worth a rental. I have not experienced one of those glitches in the video. I findt a pretty soid game. Is it the perfectness the show is? No,but it isn't a bad alternate.Comment
