    retired players get recycled in the draft

    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
    hey everyone - after the frustration of not having custom stances for drafted players settled in; i had to find a solution. i researched the draft to figure out how some players drafted had custom stances and a majority had the generic stance. After doing some research - all retired players get recycled into the draft as new players (this happened in 2k8, but know one cared bc they could change their drafted players stances). Yes, their custom stances get recycled as well. <o></o>
    I started a new franchise last night with the O's and drafted the recycled Frank Thomas for my new 1st baseman. I also got Craig Council as my future SS (his stance is sick).<o></o>

    Here is how you can easily ID the retired players in the draft:<o></o>
    1. look through the retired players after the off season begins<o></o>
    2. find a player that you might want as a prospect recycled<o></o>
    3. in the draft his uni # and weight will be the same. His height and name will be altered. <o></o>

    some people wont care about this, but some of us cant stand the generic stance. i hate it when my lineup has 3-4 guys in a row with the same stance, thats unrealistic. i hope this helps some people. smonee

        This sounds mildly annoying, but I'm amazed anyone could even bother to play the game long enough to get fixated on an ancillary issue like this. My game is in the drawer because I'm too fed up to look at it until it's patched, let alone play it long enough to see a recycled player in a draft!

          people retire the after the first season - and it only took me less than an hour to figure it out....if u are wishing for super patch you should just trade in your game.

            Yeah, it is SO annoying that people come onto these boards and post stuff that can help others enjoy the game more. Dang!

              Well, I always just assumed they would use all the batting/pitching stances for the drafted players. That's just a lot of players to generate year after year.

              I thought you were implying this was more of a "reborn" type of a situation. Like Pro Evo Soccer. Look in the draft and see an 18 year old Ted Williams.

                I never heard of this before. I think it is great and will help me when the time comes for me to draft. GREAT FIND
