Howdy all,

I try really hard to keep things positive and the glass half full. But man oh man.

Using the Rays, I have not witnessed the First baseman glitch one time. Man, what a first impression.

Using my Tampa Bay Rays against the Redsox, I had a No-Hitter going into the bottom of the ninth. Mind you, this was the closest I had come to a No-No. Kazmir was a beast. 11ks. No walks, no hits.

Bottom of the ninth. First Sox batter flied out to right. My heart skipped a beat. Next batter, struck him out. I'm nervous and excited now.

Ortiz hit a sharp ground ball to second. Seeings as Ortiz is not exactly a speed demon, I about jumped out of my skin. Btw, I use the right stick for all throws.

Anyway, my second baseman,Iwamura fielded it fine. I made a perfect throw...dead center sweet spot. As the throw arrived to Pena, Ortiz was a good 5 feet away.

Then...BAM!!!!...he did it. As the ball arrived in his glove, Pena lifted his foot off of the bag. It was just cocked up behind him. Ortiz was safe for the first hit of the game.

Please, please, please 2k. If you need a little extra time to get us the patch, please take it. I want so much to love this game.

I wanted to give you more details about Patch 2 as they have been passed to me. The patch is almost ready for submission as the final tweaks are being made. From there, it must go through the proper approvals which puts it a minimum of two weeks out. But I did want to share JUST A FEW (read NOT ALL) of the things it will address:

AI Agressiveness
Home Run Totals
Fly balls in the outfield tweaked so ghastly fielding errors will be a thing of the past
1st baseman stepping off bag has been tweaked
Issues with the pitch overlay hud
Fixed pickoffs, especially to 2nd base
Roster issues as it pertains to subsituting pitchers and bench

It's being fixed in the patch

That sucks bad. I have played 20 games and it has only happened 2x but, once was costly letting up the game winning run! I couldn't save that one.

Did you check to make sure he was awarded a hit? It only happened to me 3 or 4 times out of 19 games so far, and I believe some of them were counted as errors. Not sure about other ones, haven't really checked to see.

Yep, thank you Prince, I am aware of that=).

My point was, I would rather 2k take a lil longer and fix everything, than rush the patch and miss something.

Imho, this game is sooooo close the greatness.
