Just played a game lost 5-3 to the Marlins. They removed their starter after the 6th. Meche for me had 7 ip 7 k's. Farnesworth 1 ip 1 k. Both sides had about 8 hits. They had 2 hrs. i had none and only struck out once but drew a couple walks. It was a fun game though and thats the main thing.

Legend Difficulty
I posted this before but I figured I would again. I've messed with sliders to death but I went back to legend a second time and this game is so much better on legend. I don't know if anyone is seeing the same things i am. I could see lowering user contact to get more strikeouts and upping user power a bit and messing with the gesture stuff so i cant pinpoint my spots so much, but legend is really good as long as you arent that picky. I'm seeing a ton of called strikes and all sorts of stuff. I'm not even using IE anymore. I just pitch to the corners and try to get the cpu to chase..... This is the only difficulty i see a good balance of offense and defense.

Re: Legend Difficulty
Im going to have to agree 100% with legend,.. After trying a few slider sets i prefer legend. I raises my power to 55 and contact down to 0. Also have pitch speed at 100 with camera zoomed all the back at and height at 4..
Just played with tigers had 10k's with verlander.. Also im using joes sliders for the CPU pitching so i can draw walks.. Game is really fun besides the outfielder bull**** -

It's really seeming like now that we have the Living Roster Feature, the DEFAULT Sliders play a lot better. Especially on the Higher Levels (All-Star & Legend) with the only tweak needing to be in the AI Strike Zone & Pitch Speed..Comment

Re: Legend Difficulty
Legends mode is the only one that feels like baseball to me.. contact and hrs still need toning down a bit but i love legend mode.. the rest are cartoon baseball with a too much offenseComment

Re: Legend Difficulty
Legend mode is good. It still doesn't correct the main issues witht his game as far as scripted AI and braindead AI to put it blunt at times, but it's pretty solid this way..... I still wish 2k would add more variety to their AI somehow. This is the thing that ultimately kills all 2k games for me. I've played this game a ton and am starting to get bored with it. It's still fun and I'm hoping hte patch adds to the longevity a bit and adds something to the pitcher and batter duels. I'm sick of seeing the 5 or 6 pitch innings and contact on the first pitch. Or being able to throw curveballs for strikes at will. I'm one of the people who has gotten past the bugs and that stuff I can dela with. The braindead AI and scriptedness I can't.. It killed nba 2k9 for me and it will do the same here ultimately..
The good thing is this game still amazes me in certain regards though. 2k as bad as this game has gotten fried really added some nice little touches in this game where i see something new each game or so even still. Like last night i was playing and the cpu runner was heading home and a close play he missed homeplate. I tried to tag him and he dove back and touched it safe. That was so cool.
This game is frustrating because it does some great nice little things you wouldnt expect but then drops the ball in other areas. A patch if they really concentrate on tuning the other little things this game could still have some longevity to it.Last edited by kGinGreen; 03-31-2009, 07:35 AM.Comment

What exactly have you tweaked, and to what new levels? Just curious about your "new sliders". Love your last ones!Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

Re: Legend Difficulty
It's a love-hate relationship right now for me..
I have a great.. WOW.. game on default legend and then I have a game where the slow OF bug rears its head, it's a waste trying to pick off a runner, etc..
but.. pitching is quite satisfying on this level when you're on.. hitting is the same way..
Everything just feels right on this level though.Comment

Re: Legend Difficulty
The thing i hate is i can strike out batters at will 90% of the time.
All you have to do is throw a low and outside fast ball on the very edge and 90% of the time they wont even swing and its a strike.
