New guy here - my take on 2k9

Also just introducing myself on here. My name is Manny. Been a Mets fan since I moved to the US in 1994. I've always loved baseball games, but since MVP 2005 didn't really have a baseball game own my life. Since MVP 05, the baseball games i mostly played were Baseball Mogul.

Anyways, I purchased MLB 2k9 on release date and played it non-stop for the first 2 days. No lie, at first, I hated this game. I thought about returning it, but then decided to give it another try with some sliders. It became A LOT more fun, but still needed more tweaking. I tweaked the sliders (and still am) to my liking, and I must say....I love this game now.

I started a draft franchise with the D'Backs. It's going pretty good. I play one game in every series, and I'm currently into the later part of June 2009. Currently at 40-28, 1 game ahead of the Rockies.

Also, I seem to be one of the few people not experience the "MAJOR PROBLEMS" with the game. In the 22 games I've played in my franchise, the outfielder error thing has happened twice. The 1B glitch has happened once, and combined with the CPU, there's an average of 1HR every 2 games or so. Also, my franchise has never frozen. Free Agents are being signed. So, I don't know.

tl;dr version: I'm a Mets fan. Been wanting a great baseball game since MLB 2005. 2K9 is that game I've been waiting for.

Re: New guy here - my take on 2k9

It should be noted that the problems many users have been experiencing with 2K9 won't happen to every person who plays the game (or at least won't be noticed by everyone). This post proves this...

...and no, I'm not on the 2K defensive. I tend to overlook most of the stuff people rave about and try to emphasize on the things the game does right. But it's good to hear that someone's finally playing the game for what it is.
