The only thing I know of is on 2k Ron said the servers are down for maintainance on PS3 and 360 from 11:45 PST to 2:30 PST give or take on the time. Yes this could possibly mean that the 360 update could be out tomorrow but you also have to realize that the PS3 server is going down as well and that patch has already come out. There is no garuntee the patch is coming out tomorrow.

We would all love for it to be tomorrow but don't get your hopes up. Plus 2k is the one doing the maintainance not XBOX. If it does come out I would assume it will be out right when the servers are back up which would be early morning.

Patch question

If it's posted somewhere else, I apologize...I looked thru the threads re: the patch and didn't see.

Is the patch going to be backwards compatible? Meaning, I am a month into my franchise season. Since the patch is mostly gameplay related, when it comes out (360) will it take effect on my current franchise, or would I need to start a new one for it to work? Want to know if I should bother keeping it or scrap it for now?

OK, I merged several threads that were about the impending 360 patch. Please avoid posting any new threads regarding the patch PRIOR TO ITS RELEASE. Please use this thread to discuss when the 360 patch will be out or any other 360-only questions.

my guess would be sometime today as well, since they are having a MLB2K9 weekend on the 360 that starts today.

Yes i'm thinking sometime today. Still got some roster tweaking to do for lineups and rotations since most teams have made their roster decisions.

I saw these threads and was hoping I would see the patch when I was online 12:30am this morning (FRI)! Oh well.

I really hope the patch majorly addresses the OF flyball and 1B tag glitches, along with others. The PS3 impressions thread is like 95% dedicated to the AI hitter aggressiveness, which might have been unrealistic, but was not nearly the gamebreaker that the above-mentioned glitches were...

I should probably restart my franchise, since I won my first 2 games and then proceeded to lose my next 8 because of glitches and close losses. Also, anyone who says that hitting isn't challenging...TRY CURSOR BATTING!!! I have no interest in the analog stick thing, since it basically turns it into a softball game.

I was waiting to hear some more impressions from 360 users on this game before I purchased it but I think I'm gonna end up running out to get it before then. I just have been itching for a baseball game.

if you can get past some of the glitches (most of which will be fixed in the patch) it plays an overall good game of baseball. i suggest that if you only have a 360, and need a baseball fix, go buy 2k9.

I'm wiling to bet if it wasn't this morning, it'll be Tuesday. Really a shame that we've been waiting so long for a playable game and now MS is making us wait longer.
