Re: Zone hitting tips?
with me, it depends on the count. with a fresh count (first pitch of at bat) and when i'm in a hitter's count, i'll put the cursor in a spot (say down and in) and if the pitch is there, i'll jump on it. But if the count is even, or more so, if i'm behind in the count, i'll position the cursor so that it covers the whole plate (east/west) and move it up or down to where the pitch is.
For me, zone hitting is the only way to go.JUST WIN BABY!! -

putting the cursor to a spot when your ahead in the count or even, helps you to take pitches as well. if your cursor is down and in, and the ball is away, you already have it in your head that you are not going to swing, so you take it. next thing you know, your ahead 1-0, on a pitch that you very well might have swung at if you werent picking a spot. but when your down in the count, its a whole different story. focus on just making contact at that point.
make sure the pitch speed is around 70 to start, and then when you get better, up it from there. I haven't picked up this game in a while, as i was waiting for the patch. when i finally started playing again, i noticed my pitch speed was set at 80!!!Didn't take me long to bump that baby back down to 70!!!!!
