Iv'e heard to use a cooling system? does this acctually work

one of my friends had one of those extra fan things you can attach to the bottom of the console, and he still got it.

Ironically, I've had two RROD's...almost exactly a year apart. One with MLB 2K8 and one with MLB 2K9...probably just a coincedence.

The first time around, once I saw it my system was dead. The second time around, it happend and then it worked for 5 minutes and froze. This happened several times until finally it completely froze up.

The good news is that it look exactly one week to get my 360 back.

One thing I do notice is that this game seems to make the system run a lot harder than some of my other games. Regardless, I downloaded it to the Hard Drive and things have been fine.

1. The cooling system voids the warranty on your XBox 360. I got it, my system went bad, and I had to lie about using the cooling system to get them to replace mine.

2. I think the dude who replied about The Show was mimicking MLB cuz he's a known troll.

3. My 360 got the RRod while I was living overseas. I had to wait 12 months to get back to the states before I could get it replaced. Sucked having no 360 overseas.

I am scared to death of the Red. I can't afford to replace my xbox no warrenty, I purchaced it for only $43 after my trade in of my PS2 and all my games.

Just had my first RROD, GH Metallica started it and after doing the towel trick, MLB 2k9 finally put it in it's grave.

I hope no one really believes THIS GAME caused the RROD...I've had it once so far, and was playing NBA 2K9 when it happenned. got my system back within 10 days, and it's fine (knock on wood) so far.

just bought the game was excited to play it turn on console and its dead. Have been lucky so far as its a launch console, would i be better of buying a new one, anyone know how long they guarantee a repaired xbox 360. i dont want it to last a few months and then have to pay the repair fee again, when i can buy a new one for double the repair fee but have 3 yr warranty
