any differences between 360 and ps3 version?

Or are they identical? I've considered picking this back up just for fun, now that i have a ps3 but are there are any differences? live rosters, online play and all that stuff is all the same right?

People should get warnings for continuing to make these statements. Just answer the FREAKING question. If you don't have an answer then don't even make a post. The person has a legit question and he doesn't want to see a reply only to have it be something that doesn't even answer his question.

To answer the question, I played the PS3 demo and one of the things I noticed when compared to the 360 version was there were VERY noticeable jaggies all over the stadium models as well as a bit on the players themselves. I don't have the retail version so I'm not sure if 2K maybe cleaned a bit of that stuff up. It appears gameplay wise they both play about the same with minimal differences.

I have the show btw. Yeah I went and rented this for the ps3. It looked 10x's better on the 360. No wonder people are slamming this game compared to the show on the ps3 lol. There are jaggies and the player faces look really washed out and weird. The lighting is all out of whack or something. I guess hte ps3 isnt great for multiplats or something. eh...... For $400 i'd expect it to be identical. The controller isnt as nice for doing the gestures either. The ps3 version sucks imo. What a rip. I honestly didnt notice any difference with the patch either.

Jaggies are there, but the game is basically the exact same. xbox's multi plat games always look much better.

            lol...you'd like to think, huh.

The trouble is, most of the multiplatforms are ported from the 360, because most developers either have better kits, or prefer to develop on the 360. It's a shame too, IMO, because the PS3 can do so much more (I mean, just look at their exclusives...blows most 360 games out of the water).

I think the need by multiplatfor developers to make sure one platform isn't coming out partciularly better than the other actually backfires. The 360 is at a disadvantage if all things were being equal, but the odds are evened by the way they are developed.

The bright side, I suppose, is the gap has finally closed a lot tighter. Most multiplatforms look and play about the same on both. 2K has had more problems with the PS3 though, so who knows...lol. Hopefully they get their acts together. For now, I just get most of my multiplatforms for 360.

yeah i know. I just would have still expected better though. This game blows chunks on the ps3. The Jaggies were really bad and the controller isnt really made for twitch gameplay.

Right now imo, PS3 has more groundbreaking exclusives coming out. The 360 still has better multiplats..... I was hoping i'd get a ps3 and it would be the best of both worlds by now, but there is always a catch.

Because it's ridiculous to get the same game on two different consoles.

Re: any differences between 360 and ps3 version?

i got rid of my 360 and got a ps3 to save money that way. i dont really need two consoles. having 2 consoles is kind of too much for me. especially considering both systems pretty much have the same games minus a handful and there aren't really any more exclusives coming out for the 360 i consider must play games. So i sold my 360 and got a ps3 to make it cheaper so i could play the show. i just rented the ps3 version of this. i bought the 360 version before i sold it.

I just was hoping the multiplats would be better than this on the ps3. mlb 2k9 i hope is one of the worst ones as far as that goes. I knew the ps3 multiplats arent always as good, but i wasnt expecting jaggies all over the place lol. it's like 2k just ported it and didn't do anything except change the controller icons.

Thing about it, though, is that both 2K7 and 2K8 ran considerably worse on the PS3 compared to 360. I haven't played 2K9 on 360, but from what I gather that's not the case this year. Not happy about it, of course, but some jaggies for 60fps is a fairly reasonable trade-off.

yeah it's fine. i dont think i'll be playing this one on the ps3 though. Just kind of disapointing after the first 3 games i played were thoroughly fantastic on the ps3. i thought i had stuck gold. i got the show and killzone 2 with it and rented motorstorm pacific rift. all really beautiful looking games and exclusives designed specifically for it obviously.

On 1080p, they are 100% absolutely, undoubtedly, exactly the same.

Like I said in your other thread, go pick this up. I love having both games to play

I had jaggies too until I got my new TV. Now that I have 1080p and not just 1080i, and the game looks very VERY nice.

I have the PS3 version and whilst there are some jaggies, the game runs super smoothly at all times. In very stark contrast to the last two years. The only issue I have is pitching is quite tricky with the PS3 controller but with practise you will nail it. The PS3 sticks just feel like they have don't have as much precision as the 360.

Its suprised me but I'm playing this nearly as much as the Show.

I got the game on both, but i didnt pay for them, so its not like i lost out on anything. I would have bought it for the 360 no doubt about it though.
