Realistic Batting Averages: Craving the "Real Time" Statistics

okay so for franchise season. I like realistic stats. you know, like middle of the season most of the batting averages are set average guys are hitting .250 or over, all star guys could be hitting over .300.

So i'm in my 7th game of the franchise. and i would rather start everyone with low BA and work my way up because it's much harder to work your way down from a high one.

another thing i hate, but i would rather prefer is, most of my guys are hitting .300 or over, with like 0,1,or 2 homeruns. but every game as a team they get like 11 hits and the score is always 2-0 1-0 3-1. it's frustrating. so now i'm trying to bring their averages down and i purposely have guys strike out or go 0-4 for the game but their average only goes down like 20 points.

anyone else encounter this weird statistical craving? and how do i get it so i can get higher offensive games with less hits? or just like homeruns and rbi's.

    it's frustrating!

Well I just clock the ball w/ Utley and Howard...That aspect is just part of the videogame nature I guess, and being that they are rated high.

Howard is hitting like .370 halfway thru May, and Utley is hitting around .325, and the only starter I've got hitting over .300 is Rollins @ .307.

From there on it's Werth .291, Ibanez .274, Feliz .248, Ruiz .207, and Victorino .238.

my team is batting about .220.
Lugo has the highest average on my team at .323

lower the batter success to below 40 and I your averages will drop.

I've got a thread in the slider forum. Go check it out.

its such a pet peeve. i'm like 3 weeks into my season. my BA is 3rd in the league Team BA of .301 and i'm like second to LAST on the list for team HR's and RBI's. i would be so relieved if i got lower BA's and higher production numbers. I'm actually starting to get a lot of offense going now with HR's but the thing is it only highers the BA fhjahjljka

Well I guess a game like this calls for some drastic measures sometimes. It's like pukin' on a pile of ****.
