Just finished a game that took 1 hour and 15 minutes...WOW

I decided to play a game as the Mets at Phillies.

Decided not to skip any cuts and just let the game play out.

It took 1 hour and 15 minutes and I won 1-0 with Pelfrey throwing a complete game 1 hitter which i gave up in the 7th inning.

Hammels was great to but i got a run on the Phils pen in the 8th.

It was weird that the Phils took out Hammels in the 6th when it was 0-0

he had just thrown 70 pitches..

I love a good long game of baseball. I played one last night that went 13 innings and lasted almost 2 hours. I was Baltimore and beat NYY 3-2. Was a great experience, but exhausting.

I played about an hour game online earlier. We went to 13 innings. i ended up winning 6-3. Manny Ramirez hit a 3 run shot. Was the most fun game i have had in a baseball game ever. 3-3 tie going into extra innings.

What made it really good though is the guy i was playing goes whats your rank, i am 47th in the world. I said about 2000 or so. lol Was just fun to win.

Not surprising. All my games in 2k9 have all been over an hour, and some that have gone into extra innings have taken 2 hours. I'm weird cause I like to watch replays, and let baseball play itself out in true "baseball time".

The only times I ever skip cut-scenes are when new pitchers are brought in, and when the CPU throws over to 1st base.

I don't own 2K9, but if a game took less than an hour for me in The Show, then there was a minimal number of baserunners and I simply rushed things.

I must be in the minority, because I love the hurry up baseball feature. 25 -30 min games, not having to watch the same animations, over and over again.

There is a good middle ground between short, quick baseball game and drown out marathon. While I appreciate 2k attempting to add realism and true life detail to its sports games, its unfortunate they cranked it up to 11 in MLB 2k9 on so many fronts.

At least they were user-friendly enough to add a save game and quick play option.

Another vote for long games. I've tried the hurry-up option. It's not bad. But if I really want to play a game in 20 minutes, I'm going to reach for Power Pros.

Not if you play off your HDD .

That 120GB HDD is worth every penny.

Although I love the real time atmosphere, I find myself pushing the buttons when I'm pitching or at bat and in between innings. Definitely not a fan of long games. 30 minutes or so is not bad but an hour? Way too long for me. Glad your having fun though.
