    opposite field homeruns?

Has anyone hit an opposite field home-run yet?

It seems the only way to hit a home-run is with the stupid left stick up and in.

Michael Bourne hit an oppoiste shot off me last night - 2 run dinger. I threw the pitch high and outside yet somehow he made contact - and it was a 2-strike pitch!!

ive hit a couple, both right handed one though.....one with david wright and one with beltran....they just made it over the wall and it was cool to the see the fans reaching for the ball and the outfielder jumping for it and almost grabbing it.

Ironically, a majority of mine are opposite field w/ Utley and Howard.

Me, too. I'm getting almost all opposite home runs.

I hit two deep to left center with Prince Fielder the other night. Last night against the Cubs, I gave up three bombs all to opposite field, which I thought was overdone (each one damn near left the ball park).

Not sure if it matters, but I use zone hitting.

I've had a fair enough amount of varitety. The CPU hardly ever goes as opposite field as I do. In fact they're sometimes squeaking inside the foul pole; Johnny Peralta hit the foul ball on one when I was using KC (vs CLE).

I've gone dead center w/ Howard and Victorino, and upper deck to RF w/ Utley a couple of times. I'm in the 3rd week of May, and Howard has 11 HRs - I'd say 5 of them are opposite field.

Most of mine go to opposite field because my timing is terrible.

I have actually been enjoying this game, but I do have a couple of issues with it. (Speaking of opposite field homeruns.) I throw a high inside fastball, and I do mean high and inside. It was easily a ball and David Ortiz hits a HIGH AND INSIDE FASTBALL for an OPPOSITE field homerun. It was impossible and it looked so fake. It's just against the laws of the universe and it was a real downer seeing that. My biggest complaint is that I bunted to get my runner over to 2nd and the pitcher fired to second and they called me out when I had been practically standing on the base. Very bad call and it basically lost the game for me.

most of my home runs have been opposite field home runs actually but i haven't played since the new patch. did they fix the way outfielders try to make catches at the wall? before, they would jump about a second late and i would get a triple out of it every time (when it hits the wall).

With lefties, almost all of my HR's are opposite field because it seems like the CPU never pitches inside so I just look for a fastball on the outer part of the plate. Most of my HR's with righties are pull shots though.
