Tagging out runners at home
After patch #2 I bought this game and have been really loving it with the sliders adjusted. Great game FINALLY on the 360. BUT, last night I had an issue I had not seen before. I had two infield in throws to the plate, one very close and one where the throw beat the runner but 2 solid steps. Both times the runners were safe. The first time it was iffy...I could be convinced the runner slid under the tag. The second time I made sure I physically brought the catcher out in front of the plate and he made the swipe with ball in glove and the guy was still SAFE! I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere as a bug, at least not recently. Anyone else seen this? Is there anything I can do about it?Tags: None -
Re: Tagging out runners at home
when I guy is coming home hit the RB this will cause your catcher to drop down and block the plate. It seems kinda dumb that you have to hit a button but at the same time I was so pumped when I discovered you could block the plate -

using the RB really helps, I love the little things like this about the game.Gaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

Re: Tagging out runners at home
Now that you mention it, I do remember reading that. I just didn't think it should be necessary every time! For instance, that second time I threw home I ran the catcher up the line and met the runner a few feet in front of the plate, and he made the "tag" animation which did contact him, it just didn't call him out. I'll try the RB every time and see how it goes.Comment
